Attractions Introduction:

  Medog, refers to Medog County, located in Nyingchi, southeastern Tibet, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and adjacent to foreign countries to the south. Therefore, the entire Medog is in a blocked area with inconvenient transportation. The county has a total area of more than 30,000 square kilometers and a population of about 10,000 people. The main sources of income are the Luoba and Monba nationalities, with agriculture as the main source of income, and others as supplementary. Medog has established a national nature reserve with complex ecology and numerous populations. Medog is the only county in my country with no road access. The main transportation is people and animals. However, the road construction plan was passed in October 2008. The construction period is three years and is under construction. Medog tourism is mainly on foot, and the scenery is beautiful and attractive.

  Animal and plant resources: Medog has established a nature reserve in the 1980s, covering an area of more than 62,000 hectares. It is a national nature reserve. The reserve is rich in ecological resources. There are more than 3000 species of plants in the higher plants alone. There are more than 40 kinds of plants named by Medog, more than 1,000 kinds of wild medicinal plants, and more than 80 kinds of rare plants under national key protection. Among the animal species, there are only 42 kinds of key protected animals stipulated by the state.

Characteristic landscapes: The characteristic landscapes in Medog are named waterfalls, vine bridges and ziplines. The more famous waterfalls are Daguaiwan Waterfall, Khanmi Waterfall, Laohuzui Waterfall, Didong Waterfall, Beibeng Waterfall, Lager Waterfall, etc; History). They are about 400 meters long and walk on them. Although they are wobbly due to the strong wind, they are almost closed and very safe.

Other notes: Medog trek is the most common place for tourists to hike in Tibet. Medog trek takes about 10 days. The general route is from Pai Town to Songlinkou, and then over the Doxiongla Snow Mountain (to Songlinkou is usually a chartered car ), go through Laga, Khanmi, Bomi, and then to Medog (approximately 4 days). The return journey is generally from the Yarlung Zangbo River to "52 kilometers", then over the Galongla Snow Mountain, to Bomi, and return by car. 4-5 days.
